Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib is a site where ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Teg Bahadur Ji was beheaded by Mughal emperor when he refused to convert into Islam.

Before his body was exposed to public, it was stolen by one of his disciple named Lakhi Shah. Later he burned his house to cremate Guru Ji’s body. The cremation place is marked by another Gurudwara named Gurudwara Rakab Ganj Sahib.

The severe head of Guru Ji was brought to Anandpur Sahib, Punjab by Bhai Jaita. Gurudwara with same name Sis Ganj Sahib was made at Anandpur Sahib, Punjab.
