Sar Pass Trek starts from a small yet famous hamlet of Parvati Valley, Kasol. It is an easy to moderate level of trek suited for beginners as well.
This trek requires basic fitness level. All you need to do is prepare your body with daily basic level exercises like squats, push-ups, running. This will help you to adapt body at higher altitude with low oxygen level.

Things to be Noted Before Doing Sar Pass Trek:
- You should not be having any major ailment like High BP, Diabetes, Asthma.
- Basic Fitness Level is required as oxygen level is low at altitude above 12000 feet.
- Trekking Shoes are mandatory, we recommend Decathlon
- Trekking stick is optional yet recommended.
- Carry Sunscreen, lotion, cap & goggles to prevent skin burns etc.
- Consumption of alcohol & cigarettes is prohibited during trek as it makes body dehydrated.
Trip Itinerary- Sar Pass Trek:
Maximum Altitude: 4200 meters above sea level
Day 01: Reaching Base Location, Kasol
You can take Volvo bus from major nearby cities like Delhi/ Chandigarh. It will drop you at Bhuntar Volvo Bus Stop, you can get taxi or local bus for Kasol (80 minutes journey).
Check in your camp/ hotel, relax & rejuvenate.
Kasol Sightseeing like Chalal River Bridge, Café Hopping and Market Visit.
Evening, an orientation session is given by trek leader for things to be followed.
Dinner & Overnight Stay.
Day 02: Kasol to Grahan (2340 meters)
Trek Length: 9 kms (4 hours approx)
After breakfast, trek starts from the main market of Kasol. Initial trail goes along the river, surrounded by beautiful surroundings with pine trees.
It will take around 4 to 5 hours to reach our first stop on Sar Pass Trek which is Grahan Village.
Dinner & Overnight Stay.
Day 03: Grahan Village to Mung Thach (3400 meters)
Trek Length: 7 kms (4 hours approx)
After breakfast, today we will leave the civilization behind and will be covering 7 kms in total.
Dinner and Overnight stay in Camping at Mung Thach.
Day 04: Mung Thach to Nagaru (3800 meters)
Trek Length: 8 kms
Dinner and Overnight stay in Camping at Nagaru.
Day 05: Nagaru to Biskeri Thach via Sar Pass (4200 metres)
Trek length: 14 kms (7 hours approx)
After breakfast, we will start early as today we need to cover long stretch of 14 kms. The ascent while approaching Sar pass is going to be bit steep. Spend some time at Sar Pass & enjoy the magnificent views of Himalayan ranges. The descent from Sar Pass is also bit steep.
Dinner & Overnight stay in camping at Biskeri Thach.
Day 06: Biskeri Thach to Pulga Village (Parvati Valley)
After breakfast, trek down to Pulga Village. Take rest, later reach Barsheni to board your return taxi for Kasol.
Reach Kasol & end of a great tour!!
